Sharp BD-HDW30 BD-HDW25 and BD-HDW22

Sharp has three new fixed Blu-ray Disc recorder models - BD-HDW30, BD-HDW25, and BD -HDW22. All come with hard drives.

New recorders - BD-HDW30, BD-HDW25 and BD-HDW22 come in black cases (dimensions: 434 x 343 x 68 mm), while their weight is, respectively, 5.4 kg, 5.3 kg and 5.2 kg.



Devices are equipped with hard drives (capacity: 1 TB, 500 GB and 250 GB) and two digital tuners as well as a single analog one. The supported formats include MPEG2, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, while supported media - both BD discs, DVD and CD.

The user has the ability to record television programs in the HD quality (1 TB drive can record up to 127hours) and take advantage of a number of outputs (an HDMI compatible with the High-Definition 1080p/24 Hz). It is also worthwhile to mention two i.LINK connector blocks, 100 BASE-TX/10BASE-T LAN module and a fast start (0.8 seconds).


The new device will appear on the Japanese market on July 1st, 2008. The price (converted from yen to dollars) 2686, 1727, and US $ 1439.
